Megan Santano

ASSOCIATE
Megan Santano is an associate practicing primarily in family law, known for her tailored approach to each case—recognizing that no two families are alike. She takes the time to understand her clients’ unique circumstances and goals, crafting legal strategies that are both practical and deeply personalized. Her undergraduate degree in psychology and previous volunteer work with the adolescent psychiatry unit of the Kelowna General Hospital enhance her ability to advocate with empathy.
She has trial experience appearing before the Supreme Court of British Columbia and is trusted by clients to navigate high-stakes matters—whether involving intricate corporate structures or sensitive parenting disputes.
Megan has been described as a “Jack Russell with a bone”—driven, focused, and fiercely committed to her clients. At the same time, she’s known for her collegiality and professionalism, maintaining respectful and constructive relationships with colleagues and opposing counsel both in and out of the courtroom.
When it comes to families with children, Megan’s preference is to resolve parenting matters outside the courtroom. She believes that helping families repair communication and establish healthy co-parenting frameworks through appropriate avenues—such as parenting coordinators or counselling processes—sets children up for long-term success. That said, she is adept at identifying when court intervention is the best path forward and acts decisively when litigation is required.
Clients appreciate Megan’s blend of grit, compassion, and forward-thinking problem-solving. She’s the kind of lawyer who will fight hard for you while helping you stay grounded and focused on what truly matters in the long run.
Outside of the office, Megan is active in her community. She enjoys a wide range of activities including, running, yoga, hiking, crafting, and paddle boarding. Megan and her family have been proud to call Kelowna home for nearly a decade, building roots in the heart of the Okanagan. She spent her childhood summers at Skaha Lake with her grandparents, fishing and soaking in everything the region has to offer. That deep connection to the land and community continues to shape her work and her life.
