Calen Janzen

Calen is an associate practicing primarily in civil and commercial litigation as well as family law.

Calen grew up in the Okanagan Valley, on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan Peoples. He subsequently obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of British Columbia.

Calen went on to attend law school at Thompson Rivers University, where his marks placed him on the Dean’s List. He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2020. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2021.

Calen has diverse practice experience in both solicitor’s work and litigation. He worked on the support team at a local real estate practice and went on to complete his articling term with a civil litigation firm in the Interior.

After being called to the British Columbia bar, Calen started with a general practice but found he was better suited to the world of litigation. That realization is what led him to joining Pihl Law Corporation.

Outside of the office, Calen enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their pup. As a hiking enthusiast and avid downhill skier, Calen can be found on any number of local trails, sun or snow alike.
