Emily is an associate whose practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation, as well as employment law. She advises businesses, employers & employees, and other individuals on a broad range of disputes.
Emily understands that disputes can have consequences beyond the immediate legal issues. Whether acting for a business in a commercial matter, an employer or employee managing a workplace challenge, or an individual facing a difficult legal situation, she takes time to understand her clients’ priorities and broader objectives. Emily combines attention to immediate needs with consideration of a forward-looking perspective, to provide advice that considers the full picture.
Her business education informs her pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving and allows her to assess matters from multiple lenses. Emily works closely with her clients to develop strategies that align with their overall goals and manages risk effectively. She recognizes that disputes can be disruptive, time-consuming, and stressful, and she aims to ease those burdens by providing advice that is responsive to each client\'s unique circumstances.
Emily has appeared before the British Columbia Supreme Court, the Provincial Court of British Columbia, and various administrative tribunals throughout the province. While she is a confident advocate in court, she recognizes that the best outcomes are not always achieved through litigation and focuses on identifying the most effective paths to resolution.

Outside of the office, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hitting the ski hill, or the lake on her paddleboard. Having grown up in the Okanagan, Emily does not take for granted the endless activities it has to offer. However, she can often be found planning her next trip overseas.
